Aaron Alfred Brodbeck passed away Monday, December 28, 2015 in Johnson City. Aaron was born February 20, 1929 near Hye, Texas to Alfred and Lonie Brodbeck. He is preceded in death by his parents, his wife of 49 years Betty Jo "Jodie", second wife Vivian, and one sister Lillian Arnold. Aaron is survived by one sister Sylvia Brandt of Houston, one brother Sherman Brodbeck and wife Vicki of Wimberley, four sons and daughters-in-law, Dwight and Brenda of Johnson City, Randy and Jake of Johnson City, Stephen and Lisa of Carrollton, Dr. Todd and Deneshia of Lubbock. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews and a large extended family.
Aaron grew up in Blanco County, attended school in Pleasant Hill and Johnson City. He worked as a carpenter, housebuilder and in the greenhouse business until his retirement and then he enjoyed farming and ranching as long as he was able. He is remembered by his many years serving as a Scoutmaster in the Boy Scouts.
Visitation will be 5:00-7:00 PM Wednesday, December 30, 2015 at Crofts-Crow Funeral home in Johnson City. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM, Thursday, December 31, 2015 at Rocky Community Church, Rocky Rd. Hye, Texas 78635. Interment will follow in the Rocky Community Cemetery.
