Aaron "Randy"
Randall Brodbeck
Jan 26, 1954 — May 13, 2026
Johnson City
Aaron Randall "Randy" Brodbeck went to be with our Lord on May 13, 2026.
Randy was born on January 26, 1954, in Burnet, Texas, to Aaron Alfred Brodbeck and Betty Jo Barrow Brodbeck. He was the second of four boys. Randy attended school in Johnson City, graduating in 1972, and later attended Central Texas College to study auto mechanics.
Randy became an operating partner at Crowder Ford dealership in Johnson City. After the dealership was sold, he remained in management under Don Mabry Ford. He later joined Adams Insurance in Johnson City, where he was recognized as a Trusted Choice Hometown Hero—an honor awarded to insurance agents who go above and beyond in service to their communities.
A well-known and respected figure in Johnson City, Randy's extensive record of community volunteerism reflected his lifelong commitment to serving others. In 1995, he was elected to the Johnson City School Board. He served as board president from 1998 to 2005 and continued serving on the board through 2014. In 2003, Randy helped gather support for a $10 million bond election to renovate school facilities and build a new high school.
Randy was an active member of Johnson City Little League beginning in 1983. He served as president for a decade, until 1994, and was instrumental in building the city's first Little League baseball field, which was later renamed in his honor. He also served on the Johnson City Planning and Zoning Committee and was a familiar voice announcing at local athletic events.
Randy began serving with North Blanco County EMS in 1982 and was president from 2005 to 2014. He stepped down to run for public office and was elected Justice of the Peace for Blanco County, Precinct 1, where he faithfully served three terms.
Randy is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Jake; his sons, Jacob and Joshua and wife Staci; and his daughter, Jenny and husband Whitney. His grandchildren are Jonah and Autumn (Jacob's children); Cutter, Cannon, and Caybri Jo (Joshua and Staci's children); and Dakota and Weston (Jenny and Whitney's children). He is also survived by his brothers, Dwight and wife Brenda, Stephen and wife Lisa, and Todd and wife Deneshia, along with their families; his uncle, Sherman and wife Vicki; and numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Randy was a pillar of the community whose life was a testament to service. He leaves behind a tremendous void in the hearts of all who knew and loved him, and he will be deeply missed every day.
