Allen Ray Nolte passed away at his home November 1, 2021 surrounded by his loving family. He was born November 18, 1942 to Walter and Norma (Schlater) Nolte in New Braunfels, Texas in his grandparents' home. Allen graduated from New Braunfels High School in 1962.
After graduation he joined the U.S. Navy where he served for 2 years on Kodiak Island in Alaska. He then worked for a steel fabrication plant in Converse, Texas where he became foreman.
He married Barbara Hitzfelder in 1966 and they raised two children. He liked to hunt, fish and go camping.
Allen was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Alta Mae Voss.
He is survived by his wife Barbara; son, Justin Nolte and wife Julie; daughter, Melody Easter and husband Eddie; grandchildren, Garrett Deike and wife Lauren, Zachary Nolte and wife Emily, Madison Deike and Nicholas Nolte; and one great grandson, Lucas Allen Deike which Allen lovingly referred to as "Little Allen"; and two nephews, Patrick and Brandon Voss.
A memorial service celebrating Allen's life will be held at 10:00 AM Saturday, November 20, 2021 at Liberty Lighthouse Fellowship, 321 Old River Crossing, Johnson City, TX 78636.
