Blanco has sadly lost one of its most beloved residents, Amil M. Baker, Jr. Mr Baker passed away peacefully  on Sunday, August 21, 2022, surrounded by family.  He had just celebrated his 88 ^th birthday on August 5th.

He is preceded in death by his first wife Beatrice Ann, and second wife Carole Grace.  He is survived by his daughter Cheryl and her husband Peter Hill, his son Chris Amil Baker, grandson Jacob Rickman and wife Hillary, grandson Joshua Rickman and wife Suzanna, and granddaughter Cassie and husband James Williams, and their baby on the way, Amil's first great grandbaby. Other residents of Blanco will mourn seeing (and avoiding) his red pickup truck as he made his way to the local eateries and hearing his colorful stories of life as a surveyor.

Visitation will be at Crofts-Crow Funeral Home, 911 Mesquite St., Blanco, Texas, this Saturday, Aug. 27, 2022, at 10 am, with services following at 11 am.   In lieu of flowers please send donations to the American Cancer Society.
