Angela Babette Manuel Carleton of Spring Branch, Texas moved from this life to her eternal home on Sunday, May 24, 2015 after a long illness. Angie was born in Arkansas City, Kansas on May 15, 1964 to Sonny and Joy Manuel. Her life was dedicated to serving hurting children who needed loving foster and adoptive homes.
Angie earned her BA in Religious Education from Dallas Baptist University, and her MA in Counseling from Liberty University in Lynchburg, Virginia. She also did secondary studies in music and public education.
Angie was a fun-loving, outgoing Christian woman who always put God and the welfare of her children first. She was a dedicated worker in every area of her life. She loved her church family and enjoyed being a part of the music ministry at Bethel Methodist Church of the Hill Country.
Angie leaves behind 2 children, Robert Ashton Carleton, age 20, and Baylee Bryce Carleton, age 18. She is also survived by her mother, Joy Manuel of Spring Branch, Texas, as well as 3 brothers, Charlie Manuel and wife Mary Lee of Spring Branch, Mark Manuel and wife Karen of San Antonio, Terry Manuel and wife Beverly, of San Antonio, and 2 sisters, Bambi Rigal and husband Johnny of Spring Branch, Texas and Diane Patricia Salinas of San Antonio, Texas. In addition, Angie is survived by numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, her church family, and many friends who loved Angie and will miss her greatly.
Visitation will be on Friday, May 29, 2015, from 5:00 to 7:00 PM at Crofts ? Crow Funeral Home in Blanco. A Celebration Service of Angie's life will be held on Saturday, May 30, 2015, at 1:00 PM at Bethel Methodist Church of the Hill Country, 38040 FM 3159, New Braunfels, TX, located between Smithson Valley High School and the Canyon Lake area. A brief graveside service will follow at 3:30 PM in the Blanco Cemetery in Blanco, Texas.
