Angelina Nieto Cervantes , 92, of Blanco passed away Wednesday, January 23, 2019 at her daughter's residence in San Antonio surrounded by her family.

Angelina was born on December 6, 1926, Corpus Christi, Texas to Maria Hernandez Nieto and Mateo Garcia Nieto.  She was a member of St. Ferdinand Catholic Church and was a mother, grandmother, and a great grandmother.  She enjoyed cooking, gardening, and being an active member of her community church.  She is best remembered through her generosity to others, her avid volunteering, her reliability doing times of need, her strong sense of will and her vivacious spirit for life.  Her grandchildren loved her sweet tea, Mexican rice, and tamales.  Her children loved her empanadas, chicken soup, and tamales.

Angelina is survived by her husband, Joel, children, Maria, Juan, Angie, and Lydia; brother Jose; eighteen grandchildren and twenty-three great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, four brothers, and a sister.

A visitation will take place on Monday, January 28, 2019, at Crofts-Crow Funeral Home in Blanco with viewing at 5 p.m. and Rosary to be recited at 7 p.m. at the funeral home. A mass of Christian Burial will take place at 10:30 am Tuesday, January 29, 2019, at St. Ferdinand Catholic Church with burial to follow at St. Mary Catholic Cemetery in Twin Sisters.

In lieu of flowers "Memorial Contributions" can be made to the St. Ferdinand Catholic Church under the Hispanic Ministry at 25 Main Street, Blanco, TX 78606.
