Anna J. Phipps, 96, a resident of Blanco for 53 years passed away October 11, 2015 at Grace Care Center in Katy, Texas. Anna was born in San Antonio, Texas on November 29, 1918 to Ike and Annie Livingston. She married Tom Phipps on June 11, 1937. They were married for 58 years. She was a housewife, worked at Phipps Plating Co. doing the payroll and helping in the office. Anna helped her husband with the ranch and also worked alongside of him with the raising, training, and running of quarter horses. She was the stable hand, she would clean all the stalls. She helped out anyway she could. Anna worked hard all her life, loved her grandsons and liked to be around family. She was caring, giving, and loving. She will be dearly missed.
Anna is survived by a son Roy Phipps and wife Doris of Blanco, a daughter Jane Behler and husband Chester of Brookshire, Texas. Six grandsons; Brad Phipps and friend Rhonda, Craig Phipps and wife Deann, Troy Phipps and wife Kary, Steven Behler and wife Alicia, Jason Behler and fiancée Lisa, Greg Behler and wife Debra. Great-grandchildren: D. J. and wife Jackie, Brandon, Dillon, Drew, Trent Phipps, Shelby, Matthew, Jackson Behler, step-great-grandchildren: Kristy, Jerrick, Bella, Jules, and Vieve. A brother-in-law Euclid Phipps and wife Marjorie. Numerous nieces and nephews.
Anna was preceded in death by her husband Tom, parents, three sisters, one brother and great grandchild, Ryan Matthew Phipps.
Pallbearers will be her six grandsons.
Viewing will be on Friday October 16, at Crofts-Crow Funeral Home in Blanco, Texas from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Services will be held in Crofts ? Crow Funeral Chapel on Saturday, October 17, 2015 at 1:30 PM with Mary Louise Brasher. Interment will follow in the Blanco Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to the Blanco EMS and Volunteer Fire, 607 Chandler St. Blanco, Texas 78606
