Obituary

Antoinette Genevieve Fildier Rossignol passed away on March 9, 2015 after a rapid decline in health. She was born in Paris, France, October 31, 1926 and witnessed the German occupation, during which she delivered coded messages for the French Resistance.

She met her husband Bertrand J Rossignol after World War II, whom she married on July 2, 1949.

They moved to San Antonio in 1967. Toni, as she was known to everyone, taught French at Berlitz, Providence High School, and ALIR. She also worked as an art consultant, a docent at the Institute of Texan Cultures, and as a tour guide. She was a long-time member of the Alliance Francaise in San Antonio.

She especially loved her time living with Bert and her animals, including her pet camel, Jeremiah, at the 6R ranch in Blanco County. She enjoyed the Hill Country trail rides to the San Antonio Stock Show and Rodeo.

Toni lived life as she wanted. She never let her eyesight slow her down.

She is survived by a daughter and three sons, ten grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild. She was predeceased by her husband Bert.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the charity of one's choice.

A Celebration of Life Service will be help on Saturday, March 14th at 2:00 PM at Crofts ? Crow Funeral Chapel in Blanco, Texas.
