Barbour
Dec 22, 1943 — Feb 9, 2021
Blanco
Antonio Ruperto Barbour , age 77, joined the Lord on February 9, 2021 in San Antonio while in the arms of his wife Isidra. He was born in Kingsville, Texas to Ruperto and Aurora Barbour on October 22, 1943.
Tony wore many hats in his lifetime; worked as a mechanic, retired from Xerox, he graduated as a business major from Kingsville A&I University, he contributed in public service including a term as a PCT 2 County Commissioner in the Kleberg County Community. He had also been ordained as a deacon in 1983 in the Diocese of Corpus Christi, Texas.
It is written, "Gray hair is like a crown of honor; it is earned by living a good life" Proverbs 16:31
At the end of Tony's earthly journey, with heavens strength, he was able to clearly share a beautiful blessing to his wife and daughters; Tissa (Marlyn), Michelle and Yvette. Time is precious and should not be wasted. The good Lord gave us life so that we should prosper. We believe Tony succeeded in this journey and along the way he brightened and helped people of this world prepare for our eternal home. We are so blessed he held onto the Lord and taught us his everlasting love and joy.
What is a better example to set to your family, is that God comes first.
He was preceded in death by his parents, sisters, Maria Huerta, Graciela Madrazo; brother, Guadalupe Barbour.
Tony is survived by his wife, daughters, nephews that he and his wife raised as sons; Mark and Timothy Barbour; sons in law, Mark Kimmel and Matt Browning; 12 grandchildren, Jessica, Valerie, Joe, Jase, Karissa, Gabriel, Cassandra, Jake, Matthew, Nick, Tony, and Layla; 21 great grandchildren; 2 great great grandchildren; brother, Miguel (Beto) and his wife Yolanda Barbour; several nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
