Barbara Ann Jones Booe was born September 2, 1951 to ARA Jackson Jones and James Roland Jones (Buddy). Barbara attended and sang in the church choir at Mt. Horeb Baptist Church now known as Peyton Colony Baptist Church. Barbara attended Peyton Colony and Blanco Middle and High Schools. She moved to Austin and worked at Texas State School where she met her husband Jerry Booe (deceased). Barbara and Jerry shared the exact birthday. Later she and Booe married at Mt. Horeb Baptist Church (Peyton Colony Baptist Church) on October 26,1996. Thereafter she and Booe moved to Blanco where she worked at Mills Nursing Home.

Barbara leaves to mourn two sons, Richard Wayne and Shawn Jones. Her oldest son, Randall Jones, preceded her in death. She also leaves to mourn three brothers, Michael Jones, Clarence Jackson, and William City; Sabrina Sykes who Barbara truly loved; a stepson Carlton Booe (Ann); five grandchildren, Shawntranice, Monnie, Bethany, Shawn Jr., and Christopher; six great-grandchildren; brother-in-law Norris Booe and sister-in-law Monique Booe; a cousin raised as a sister Sharon Jones; and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, friends and family.

Barbara loved cooking, getting her nails done and going to garage sales. Those who knew or met Barbara will never forget her because of her smile and personality. She always gave you an encouraging word or advice. She was truly loved by all. Nana we are certainly going to miss you.

Visitation will begin at 9:00 AM Friday, November 4, 2022 at Crofts – Crow Funeral Home in Blanco where funeral services will begin at 11:00 AM in the Chapel.  Interment will follow in Peyton Colony Cemetery, Blanco, TX.
