Barbara May Rice, 78, devoted mother and loving grandmother passed away Wednesday, July 3, 2013 in Blanco. She was born May 5, 1935 in Petronila, TX to Cecil Brown and Ada Staley Brown. Barbara was preceded in death by her parents; son, David Rice; and grandson, Ben Rice, Jr. She is survived by two sons, Ben Rice, Sr. and wife Carrie, and Anthony Rice and wife Carol; daughter in law, Margaret Rice; brother, Ray Brown and wife Brenda; four grandchildren, Virginia Malesiewski and husband Scott, Anthony Rice, Jr., Joshua Rice, and Chelsea Rice. Barbara is also survived by two great grandchildren, Ava Paige and Jackson Carter Malesiewski as well as many other loving relatives and dear friends.

Visitation will begin at 10:00 AM Monday, July 8, 2013 at Crofts ? Crow Funeral Home where funeral services will follow at 1:00 PM with Chaplain William Karlson officiating. Interment will be held at Hill Country Memorial Gardens in New Braunfels.
