Barbara Annale Shelton Haydon was born on February 12, 1938, in Lampasas, Texas. She passed away January 17, 2007 at the age of 68. She was preceded in death by her father, Walker B. Shelton. She is survived by her mother Verlie Dorene Wyatt Martin of Johnson City, sister Geraldine Ross of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, brother Allan Dwayne Shelton of BayCity, her son Tommy Lynn Haydon of Austin, and daughter, Kathy Sue Hood of Carlsbad, New Mexico as well as 4 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.Bobbie worked as a Nurses Aide at Johnson City Hospital and Blanco Nursing Home for many years before becoming a certified Nursing Home Activity Director and working for Austin Manor as Activity Director for 13 years. After leaving Austin Manor she worked for Brown Karhan in Dripping Springs for 10 years. In 2004, she reluctantly retired from Brown Karhan. She often spoke of Brown Karhan and her friends, co-workers and clients as the most enjoyable of her many years in health care. She was an active member of the Liberty Lighthouse Fellowship Church in Johnson City and a long time volunteer at the Blanco County Johnson City EMS.She enjoyed working on her geneology website "From Bluegrass To Bluebonnets" and helping others discover their family history as well. She was a born again Christian. She was caring and giving of herself and meant the world to her family and friends. We will miss her. Visitation will be from 2:00-6:00 on Monday, January 22 at Crofts Funeral Home in Johnson City, Texas. Services will be held on Tuesday, January 23, at 10:30 at Crofts Funeral Home and burial will be at 3:00 at Watson Cemetery in Lampasas, Texas.
