Beatrice Doris Rodenberg Ellison was born on October 15, 1917 and went to be with her Lord on April 10, 2016 at 98 years and 6 months.

Bea devoted much of her life to her church. She was a member of the First Baptist Church where she taught First Grade Sunday School class for over 50 years. During her lifetime she sang in the choir, was active in WMU, GA's, VBS and served on Pastor Search Committee twice.

Bea retired from teaching 3 ^rd grade for BISD for 25 years. After retirement she became active in Blanco County Retired Teachers, Ranch Hiway EEA Club and AARP. She was a member of Delta Kappa Gamma. Bea loved her yard work and always had a beautiful yard. She was an avid reader and a world traveler, visiting all 50 states and many countries.

She was preceded in death by her parents; Andrew and Nellie Rodenberg, grandson; Jeff Smith, brother; Alton Rodenberg and sister-in-law Montie Rhea Ellison.

She is survived by two daughters; Val Jean and husband Donald Wagner, Angie and husband Dorsey L. Smith, three grandchildren; Valerie and husband Alex Brutti, Tamara and husband John Pearson and James Wagner, three great grandchildren; Andrew Pearson, Sophia and Nicole Brutti and sister-in-law Amy Rodenberg.

Services will be held on Tuesday, April 12, 2016 at 4:00 PM in the First Baptist Church of Blanco, Texas under the direction of Crofts – Crow Funeral Home in Blanco, Texas. Visitation will also be on Tuesday, April 12, 2016 at 3:00 to 4:00 PM at the First Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the Blanco Cemetery.
