Beatrice E. Rosa, age 90, passed away on Wednesday, December 21, 2005, at the LBJ Medical Center in Johnson City, Texas. She is survived by her loving husband of 69 years, Roy R. Rosa. Bea spent her married life working side-by-side and hand-in-hand with the man she adored. In early years she spent many hours on horseback tending to sheep and cattle. In later years she happily rode in the pickup with the radio playing the country-western music that she loved. Bea gladly provided a good home to any cats that came her way and enjoyed growing flowers. Bea loved going to dances with Roy on the weekends and having good times with their many friends. Bea attended school in Sandy, Texas and left school to help raise her neice, Genevia Brown Bushnell. Bea is survived by Genevia and her husband D.R. Bushnell and their children and grandchildren: David and Heather, Derek and Emily Bushnell of New Braunfels; Ronnie and Trish, Tara and Dana Bushnell; and Dennis and Lynette, Seth and Madison Bushnell, all of Johnson City. Bea is also survived by her loving and devoted friends Sally Armstrong, Calvin and Sonja Hartmann. She was preceded in death by her parents, Joe and Millie Dixon; twin sisters Velma and Zelma; and brothers Joddie, Lonnie, Buford, and Milton. Memorial contributions can be made to the First Christian Church in Johnson City, North Blanco County EMS, or the charity of choice.
