Beulah Lurah Surber or granny as many of us knew her as, passed away March 28, 2007 at the age of 97. She was born June 26, 1909, in Mountain Home in a one room log cabin. When she was born she weighed 1lb. and was nursed back to life by her grandmother. Her first taste of milk was from the family mare and from that moment on she was known as a fighter. She and her husband William lived in Kerrville and in 1951 move to Blanco to take a ranch job. Proceeded in death by her husband William E. Surber, brothers Louie, Walter, Rumor and sister Maudie, grandson Tate Surber (age 24). She is survived by her brother, Floyd Herbert (Tiny) Clark -91yrs old; Children William Surber, Walter Surber, Herbert Surber, Charles Surber and Evelyn Hineline; grandchildren Dodee Collins, Dana Braines, Darrell Surber, Buddy Surber, Brenda Hale, Robbie Marquez, Laurie Taqui, Clinton Surber, Lisa Surber, Bonnie Surber, Valerie Smith, Heath Hineline and Heather Rackley and her 17 great grand children and 1 great great grandchild. She loved and was dearly loved by her family and friends. Funeral services will be at 2:00 pm at the First Baptist Church in Blanco, TX. Grave side service will follow at the Blanco Cemetery.
