Bruce Roger
Hedtke
Jul 8, 1956 — Jun 15, 2024
Johnson City
It's with heavy hearts that the family of Bruce Roger Hedtke announces his passing. Bruce was born on July 8, 1956, in Waconia, MN, to Bob and Juanne Hedtke.
Graduating from Minnetonka High School in 1974, he embarked on a lifelong career in Transmission Power Line construction, crisscrossing the country before settling in Freemont, UT. Bruce then moved to the Texas Hill Country after his retirement in 2009.
Bruce leaves behind a legacy of love and laughter, survived by his four sons, Justin (Melissa), Brent (Nina), Ethan, and Chance. His memory will be carried on by his grandson, Max; sister in law, Patti; niece, Kelly (Nate); nephew, Brian (Nikki); as well as a tight-knit circle of friends and extended family. Bruce was preceded in death by his parents as well as his brother, Gregg.
A celebration of life was held in Bruce's honor on the evening of June 22, 2024 at his favorite hangout, the Old Ironhorse Saloon in Blanco, TX. Stories were shared and many glasses were raised in tribute to a man who touched so many with his humor and spirit.
Bruce lived each day to the fullest and reminded us all to do the same.
