Caroline Lou Du Bose , 87, passed away Thursday, August 31, 2017 at her home surrounded by her loving family. Caroline was born April 23, 1930 in LaGrange, TX to Ersken and Loine Ilse Robertson.
She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Robert E. "Bucky" Robertson and Robert L. "Bobby" Robertson.
Caroline grew up in Austin, TX and then moved to Houston where she started working at Celanese Plastics in 1956. She continued working there for over 20 years and lived in LaPorte, Texas until she and S.J. moved to the beautiful Hill Country in 1993. Caroline was involved in many organizations throughout her career and while living in Kendalia, Texas, as well as being very active in her church, Liberty Lighthouse Fellowship in Johnson City. She kept her special sense of humor throughout her life and will be missed by all that knew her.
Caroline is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 50 years, S.J. Du Bose; their children, Linda del Angel and husband Flavio, Deborah Linebarger and husband Mark, and Brad Du Bose and wife Tammy; three siblings Pat Robertson and wife Cecilia, Mike Robertson and wife Carolyn, and Sandra Gilbert and husband Kenneth; grandchildren, Tabitha Johnson, Josh Linebarger, Clint Linebarger, Tiffany Cruz, Alison Phillips, Bethany Santiago, and Gabriele Sausnock. She is also survived by eighteen great grandchildren, three great-great grandchildren as well as nieces, nephews and many other loving relatives and dear friends.
Visitation will be 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM Monday, September 4, 2017 at Crofts – Crow Funeral Home in Blanco.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 PM Tuesday, September 5, 2017 at Liberty Lighthouse Fellowship, 321 Old River Crossing, Johnson City, TX 78636.
Interment will follow in Kneupper Cemetery, Old Blanco Rd at Crabapple Rd., Kendalia, TX.
