Cathy Livingston (Phillips) Owen , 69, passed away at her home surrounded by family, Monday, January 8, 2024. Cathy was born February 6, 1954 to Troy Gilliam Livingston, Sr. and Lorena Morris Livingston in Leland, Mississippi. She resided in Waco, TX for over 20 years where she raised her three daughters and later moved to Blanco, TX with her loving husband, Joe.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Troy and Lorena; her brother, Troy Gilliam Livingston, Jr.; and sister, Loretta Livingston Bird.

She is survived by her husband, Joseph Linward Owen; her daughters, Hillary Shawn Henson (Justin); Kathryn Lorrain Moseley (Brad); Marilee McClain Moeding (Kurt); and the joys of her life, her seven grandchildren: Christopher Phillilps-Henson, Riley McClain Henson, Cale Allen Moseley, Celsie Ann Moseley, Abigail June Moseley, Mason Lee Moeding, and Maddie McClain Moeding.

A memorial service will be held at 1:00 PM Saturday, January 13, 2024 at Blanco Methodist Church, 61 Pecan St., Blanco, TX 78606.

The family wishes to thank Dr. Alyssa Reiber and the wonderful staff at Texas Oncology Fredericksburg and her team of caregivers with BlueBonnet Hospice for the loving care they provided in her final days.

In lieu of flowers, Cathy requests your time be spent living. Live life to the fullest you can and never stop experiencing all the wonders this life has to offer. Volunteer your time, no matter the cause, as long as it is close to your heart. Go on vacations whenever and wherever you can with those who mean the most to you. Sing whenever the mood strikes and laugh as often as you can and never, ever apologize for it. And never forget to smile.
