Obituary

Cecil Joe Scott, 80, passed away November 4, 2015 at his home near Johnson City, TX. He was born July 15, 1935 in Llano, TX to Marion Clifton Scott and Ethel Delilah Scott (Smith). Cecil Joe started his career working with JD and Eric Slator gathering cattle before going to Arkansas to work on one of the Slator Ranches. He later worked for Mark Moss at the Bar "O" Ranch. Cecil Joe also worked for the Llano County Road Department. There wasn't a county road you could drive on that he wouldn't say "I helped build this". He worked a bit of time for Joe Bland Construction and even worked on pipeline in multiple states. In the 1970's Cecil Joe started working for the Moursund Ranch where he continued to work for over 40 years until his retirement.

He was preceded in death by his parents Cliff and Ethel Scott; sister, Elizabeth Scott Cranford; brothers, MC Scott and Francis K. Scott; son, Jerry Scott; daughter, Betty Gale Scott; and grandchildren, Lance Scott and Slater Sultemeier.

Cecil Joe is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Betty Lou Scott; children, Ronnie Scott and wife Kassie of Johnson City, Dale Scott and wife DiAnne of Cherokee, Tammy Leach of Round Mountain, Susan Beyer and husband Larry of Fredericksburg, Larry Scott and wife Tina of Johnson City, Barbara Sultemeier and husband Randy of Johnson City, Darren Scott and wife Dana of Beeville, Warren Scott and wife Lesa of Llano, and Scott Scott and wife Kimberly of Johnson City. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Visitation will be 5:00 ? 7:00 PM Friday, November 6, 2015 at Crofts ? Crow Funeral Home in Johnson City. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM Saturday, November 7, 2015 at Liberty Lighthouse Fellowship, 321 Old River Crossing, Johnson City, TX 78636. Interment will be held at 2:30 PM that afternoon at Llano City Cemetery.
