Charles Truett Woods, 98, passed away October 4, 2014 at his home surrounded by his family. Charles was born January 23, 1916 in Blanco, TX to Manny R. Woods and Ola Galloway Woods. He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 66 years, Leda Clara Stueler Woods; brother, Hugh Woods and sisters, Ruth Hereford and Eloise Woods. Charles is survived by three daughters, Charlene Burch and husband Art, Beverly Lundin, and Ruth Piper Copeland; brother, Eddie Woods; sisters, Wilma Becker and Maxine Mayes; grandchildren, Clif and wife Sandra, Tammy, Shea, Kyle and wife Laura, Staci, and Kevin; great grandchildren, Luke, Shelby, Maci Ray, Tucker, and Charlie; and great great grandchild, Cash Jacob; nephew Richard Hereford; nieces, Joan Connor and Judy Niemann. Charles is also survived by many other nieces, nephews, relatives and dear friends.
Visitation will be 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Tuesday, October 7, 2014 at Crofts ? Crow Funeral Home in Johnson City where funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM Wednesday morning with Rev. Art Burch officiating. Charles will be laid to rest next to his wife at Post Oak Cemetery.
