Obituary

Clifford Major Dye, born in Alpine, TX on August 15, 1947, passed away on March 28, 2016 at his home in Blanco, TX. He grew up in San Antonio, TX and attended Highlands High School Graduating in 1965 and then attended the University of Houston.  He was preceded in death by his parents Major Clifford Dye and Anita Price Dye.  He is survived by his wife of 34 years, Karen Clark Dye, formally of Camden, Arkansas, and Son, Bradford Jason Dye of Denton, TX; as well as his many friends and relatives.  He served in the US Army National Guard for 8 years.  He worked as a Railroad Conductor for Southern Pacific & Union Pacific Railroad for over 40 years.  He is a member of the Ancient Free & Accepted Masons, San Antonio Lodge #1079, for over 48 years; Past Master of Blanco Lodge #216; a 32 degree member of San Antonio Scottish Rite, a member of Alzafar Shrine for over 40 years and the current President of Masonic Hi-12 International, Tri-City #700, Chapter in New Braunfels, TX, and Member of the Order of Eastern Star, Blanco Chapter #934.  He was also a Life Member of the Gypsy Motorcycle Club International.

Visitation will be at Crofts-Crow Funeral Home, Blanco, TX on Wednesday, March 30, 2016, at 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm, and a Chapel service will be held on Thursday March 31, 2016 at 10:00 am, with interment at Sunset Memorial Park, San Antonio, TX, at Austin Highway and Harry Wurzbach at 2:00 pm.
