Obituary

Colin Craig Story , born on January 12, 1962, in Farmington, New Mexico, passed away unexpectedly on August 18, 2025, in San Antonio, Texas. Most recently a resident of Spring Branch, Texas, Colin relocated from Farmington to be closer to his beloved daughter and family.

A proud graduate of Farmington High School, Class of 1981, Colin devoted approximately 25 years to the Oil and Gas industry in the western United States. After this extensive tenure, he transitioned to a fulfilling role at Webb Chevrolet in Farmington, where he committed 15 years before retiring.

Colin was a man who cherished life and family, and he found immense joy in fishing and camping whenever the opportunity arose. His passion for these simple pleasures reflects the warmth of his spirit.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Gerald James Story and Darlene Joann (Wynn) Story; his brother-in-law, David Pridemore; and Jeremy Ray, whom Colin lovingly raised as a son.

Colin is survived by his devoted daughter, Jade Conaway; his twin brother, Kevin Story; and his sister, Kathy Pridemore. He also leaves behind numerous other relatives and a host of dear friends who will remember him fondly.

A celebration of life honoring Colin Craig Story will be scheduled in Farmington, New Mexico, at a later date. Further details regarding the services and ceremonies will be provided in due course. His memory will be cherished by all who knew him, as they gather to pay tribute to a life well-lived.
