Dardanella Joyce Gipson , 95, of Johnson City, TX passed away peacefully the evening of Monday, November 25, 2019 in Johnson City, TX.

Mrs. Gipson was born April 25, 1924 in Front Royal, VA to Elvin and Cassie (Hamlet) White.  She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Maurice "Hoot" Gipson; and two brothers, Bill & Pete White.  Dardanella is survived by her son Pete Gipson and wife Patsy of Bulverde, TX; two grandchildren, Sheri Gipson of Manhattan, NY and John Gipson of Salt Lake City, UT.  She is also survived by nieces, nephews, and other loving relatives and dear friends.

Mrs. Gipson loved to cook and enjoyed cross-stitch and needlepoint.  She was an active member of the Garden Club.  Mrs. Gipson was also "director of operations" of their ranch.  Making sure all feed runs were made, bills were paid, and all mouths were fed.

Visitation will be 6:00 – 8:00 PM Wednesday, December 4, 2019 at Crofts – Crow Funeral Home in Johnson City where funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, Thursday, December 5, 2019.  Mrs. Gipson will be laid to rest next to her husband in the Johnson City Masonic Cemetery.
