Denise Catherine Campbell

Our beloved Mom, Denise Campbell, passed away peacefully July 28th, surrounded by love with her dear children, Chris and Shannon, at her side. Denise has now been reunited with her beloved daughter, Jeanne Campbell, and sister, Pamela Woods, who predeceased her.

Denise in her home, profession and community had a servant heart. She served as the first female police detective of the Harris County Sheriff's Office. She was dedicated in her Catholic faith. Denise's hobbies included caring for all animals and her love of shopping. Denise enjoyed all things related to her family and most especially her grandchildren with one exception; Denise did not enjoy camping, although she made an effort. Denise was a beautiful lady in all ways. She was the fiery Irish light and soul of our Campbell Clan.

Denise will be greatly missed by her husband of 58 years, Guy Campbell; son and daughter-in-law, Chris & Carri Campbell and daughter, Shannon Chastain. She is sister to Joanne Bodine and Judy Borland and Nana to Jeffrey Rios, Jessica, Rios, Ryan Steinberg, Christina Chastain, Peyton Campbell and Hunter Campbell. She is great-grandmother to Karsyn Rios. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to the Bulverde Humane Society, 3563 Kingsnake, Bulverde, TX 78163.

Visitation will be 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM Sunday, August 1, 2021 at Crofts – Crow Funeral Home in Blanco where a Rosary will be held at 7:00 PM that evening.

Graveside services will be held at 11:00 AM Monday morning at St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery with Rev. Brion Zarsky officiating.
