Donald Rose, 61 of Blanco passed away May 5, 2007 at his home.He was preceded in death by his parents, Valentine Henry and Elsie Dechert Rose. He is survived by a brother, Jesse Rose, Blanco; a sister, Frances Rose of Houston; nephew, Todd Rose and wife Kelley and their children, Samantha, Jessica, Taylor and Kyle; niece, Micheal Anne and husband Michael MeNew and their children, Phillip, Alyssa, Ali, Ben, Kaelin, Colby and Connor. Special "sister" Jan Person and husband Dennis of Rockford, IL, ; aunts; Stella Eickenloff and husband, Arthur and Elizabeth Sorrell, all of Blanco.Donald was Valedictorian of the Blanco High School Class of 1964. He received a Physics Degree from the University of Texas, maintaining a 4.0 GPA. He was a Navy Veteran with the rank of Lieutenant. For the past 25 years he had managed the Peavy Ranch near his own ranch near Blanco.Funeral services will be 2 PM, Thursday, May 10 at Crofts Funeral Home, Blanco. Burial will follow in the Beck-Kuebel Cemetery in the Lindendale Community near Blanco
