Donna Penick Furber, 59, went home to her Heavenly Father on Saturday, March 24, 2007 in Johnson City, TX surrounded by family and friends. Donna was born on December 25, 1947 in Blanco, TX. She was a heavenly gift to Joyce Schmid Penick and Robert Frank Penick, Sr.God called her to use her spiritual gifts as a member of Santa Fe Springs Baptist Church in California for the last 14 years. Donna also worked alongside her husband, James Furber, since 1979 in the Electrical Distribution Industry. They were married at the Johnson City Courthouse June 17th, 1967.God blessed them with two children, Karen Ann Head and James Kevin Furber. Another joy in her life was her grandsons, Austin and Ryan Furber. She lost her brothers, Kirby and Mark Penick before her death, but leaves behind her younger sister, Holly Lawson, and older brother Robert Frank Penick, Jr. Donna's life as a servant of God along with the gospel of Christ will be celebrated on March 27, 2007 at 2:00pm at the First Baptist Church in Johnson City. Visitation will be at Crofts Funeral Home, Johnson City, from 4:00 to 7:00 PM Monday evening.
