Earnestine Meador
Kincaid
Oct 17, 1925 — Jan 24, 2022
Earnestine Meador Kincaid, ("Ms. Earnestine") was called Home on January 24th, 2022. She was born on a ranch near Nugent, Texas on October 17th, 1925 and was a long-time resident of the Texas Hill Country.
Earnestine was preceded in death by her parents, John T. and Hessie Meador, her first husband Angrus Winn, and her second husband Alton Kincaid. She is survived by her daughter, Mary M. Hampton (Stuart) and her son John A. Kincaid (Beverley), grandchildren Elisabeth Darley, Christopher Hampton, John M. Kincaid and Matthew Kincaid, and great-grandchildren Veronica Darley and Trevor Darley.
Earnestine graduated from Albany High School, attended North Texas State Teachers College for her undergraduate studies and received her masters' degree from North Texas State College. She spent thirty-nine years in various teaching positions and school districts across Texas school (from 1947 until she retired from teaching in 1986). Always thinking of others, she remained active in retirement for another thirty-five years participating in the Campers on Mission Program with the Texas Baptist Association and as a resident volunteer with the Highland Lakes Camp and Conference Center. She loved spending time with her family, traveling the world, driving across Texas, and attending First Baptist Church of Blanco and One Chapel Lake Travis in Spicewood. She was never shy about her willingness to support these organizations that used the talents of the staff for the glory of God.
She will be dearly missed by her family, friends, churches, and camp community who admired her unwavering faith and ability to love others in Christ.
An interment will be held at 12:30, February 17, 2022 at Blanco Cemetery followed by a Celebration of Life at 2pm at the First Baptist Church in Blanco, Texas.
