Elizabeth Ann Bible , 79, of Johnson City, TX, passed away peacefully on Sunday morning, January 21, 2024, surrounded by her loved ones in Johnson City. She was born on June 19, 1944, to the late Earl Smith and Louise (Waugh) Smith in Blanco, TX.
Elizabeth, was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, John Bible, and her dear friend, Albert Morales. Elizabeth also experienced the heartbreak of losing seven siblings: Earl Smith, Jr., Sonny Mixx, John Smith, Earlene Leighton, Donald Ray Smith, Linda Smith, and Jimmy Smith.
Left to cherish her memory are her three children: Doris Denton, Larry Bible (Deandra), and Linda Bible (J.J. Rivera), as well as her sister, Jessie Farmer. Liz adored her seven grandchildren: Johnnie Denton, Zachary Denton, Larkin Billiot, Landon Bible, Laaron Bible, Victoria Treadway, and Caden Rivera. She also leaves behind stepchildren, Leon Morales and Becky Morales as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and many other loving relatives and dear friends.
Elizabeth found joy in the simple pleasures of life, spending her leisure time completing jigsaw puzzles, playing bingo with friends, and fishing whenever she had the opportunity. Family was incredibly important to her, and she cherished the moments spent together during family gatherings.
A memorial service celebrating Elizabeth's remarkable life will be held on Saturday, February 10, 2024, at 1:00 PM. The service will take place at the Johnson City H.O.M.E. Church, located at 405 U.S. Highway 281, Johnson City, TX 78636.
During this time of profound loss, let us come together to honor and remember Elizabeth Ann Bible, a woman who brought warmth, love, and laughter into the lives of all who knew her. She will be deeply missed, but her spirit will live on forever in our hearts.
