Ellen Bradford Cunningham Huckle was born on December 3, 1925 in Steele, Missouri. She entered Heaven's gates on Wednesday, December 2, 2015, at the age of 89.
Ellen is preceded in death by her first husband of over 40 years, Harold Cunningham, her second husband, Allen Huckle, two brothers, Charlie and Jr., one sister Pauline and one Grandson, James Ouzts.
Ellen is lovingly remembered by two daughters, Jan Biggs and Joyce Ouzts, one son, Michael Cunningham, six surviving Grandchildren, Brad, Michael, Michelle, Stephen, Kathy and Stephanie, thirteen Great?grandchildren, one Great-great Grandchild and one sister, Evelyn Gregory.
Ellen was a hard worker all her life, from the cotton fields on farms in Southeast Missouri, to working in the garment industry for several years in St. Louis, Missouri. After moving to Texas she worked in J. C. Penny's Bridal Department for many years before retiring.
Ellen enjoyed sewing, crocheting, gardening and crafting. The quilts she made will always be cherished heirlooms by friends and family for generations to come.
Ellen had an unwavering faith in God. She was a member of Park Hill Baptist Church in San Antonio, Texas. This is where she was lucky to meet the second love of her life, Allen Huckle. They worked together as Senior Volunteers for several years before Allen's death in 2001.
A visitation will be held on Monday, December 7, 2015 at Crofts ? Crow Funeral Home in Blanco, Texas from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM with a graveside service following at 2:30 PM in the Miller Creek Cemetery in Johnson City, Texas.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to any charity which benefits research and cure for Alzheimer's Disease.
