Elsa Marie Jordan devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend to many passed away peacefully in her home surrounded by family on June 3, 2024, at the age of 87.
Elsa was born to Chester and Elsa Marie Hartmann on November 26, 1936, in Johnson City, TX
She is survived by her son Michael wife Nancy, Daughter Michelle, Granddaughters Shelby, Whitney husband Rinn, Mycala Husband Jason, Grandsons Tyler wife Courtney, Chance, Colton wife Baleigh, Great Granddaughters Paxyn, Lainey, Brinnlee, Maddie Great Grandson Grayson, Brothers Calvin Wife Sonja, Karl wife Janice and sister Linda husband Emil and many nieces and nephews.
She is proceeded in death by her parents, Husband Gene, 1 son Allen and 1 Brother Roland.
Elsa graduated high school from Johnson city in 1955. After graduation Elsa went to work for Faucett Furniture store in Kerrville, Tx. While working there she met the love of her life Allen (Gene) Jordan. They were married on August 31, 1958. They were married for 54 years until his death in 2013.
Elsa was a stay-at-home mom and helped run her husband's construction company for many years.
Her pride and joy were her grandchildren and her great grandchildren. They were her reason for living. She volunteered as room mom for her children and volunteered with 4H as a cooking instructor. She was willing to lend a helping hand and had a heart of gold.
Elsa was known for the laugh that never quit. You never saw her without a smile on her face.
She loved to celebrate and host holidays with her family and her favorite holiday was Christmas. As her neighbors stated. Elsa was doing lights spectacular before there was a lights spectacular. She loved making her yard art to display and her favorite was the teddy bear porch. She collected bears for over 30 years.
Friends are invited to a visitation honoring Elsa on Sunday June 9, 2024, from 4:00 pm- 6:00 pm at Crofts-Crow funeral home.
Funeral services will be on Monday June 10, 2024 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Stonewall, Texas at 10:00 am. Interment will immediately follow at Masonic Cemetery in Johnson City.
