Erwin Edwin Sultemeier, 88 year old, life long resident of Johnson City, passed away on Friday, November 20, 2015. Erwin was born on September 13, 1927 in Sandy, to Gus and Bertha (Lindig) Sultemeier. He graduated from Johnson City High School and attended Tarleton University. Erwin married Patsy (Bryant) Sultemeier on January 26, 1962. Erwin ranched his whole life, except for a brief time when he was in the U. S. Army. He is preceded in death by his parents, his sons; Kavin and Keith Sultemeier, three brothers; Alvin, Emil and Milton, and four sisters: Clara, Cora, Minnie and Estha.
Erwin is survived by his wife of 53 years, Patsy (Pat) Sultemeier of Johnson City, five daughters; Debbie and husband Tom Clark of Waxahachie, Kim Haertner of Johnson City, Marti and husband Dirk
Field of Burnet, Lauri and husband Bobby Humphrey of Johnson City, and Carrie and husband Codey Lewis of Llano, two sisters; Vera Dietert of New Braunfels and Hattie Fuchs of Blanco. Twelve grandchildren and one great grandchild, and his dog "Lady". A host of nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family.
Pallbearers will be De Clark, Aaron Humphrey, Aubrey Humphrey, Garrett DeSpain, Calvin Sultemeier, and Glenn Sultemeier. Honorary pallbearers will be Liz Clark, Ashley Field, Avry Stolzman, Kendra Field, Savannah Stolzman, Brooke Field, Addison Haertner and Bayleigh DeSpain.
Visitation will be on Sunday, November 22, 2015 at Crofts ? Crow Funeral Home in Johnson City from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM. Services will be held on Monday November 23, 2015 at Crofts ? Crow Funeral Chapel at 10:00 AM with burial to follow in the Post Oak Cemetery.
