Federico "Freddy" Salazar , 62, of Blanco passed away on Thursday, November 15, 2018, at his residence in Blanco with his loving family at his side.

Freddy was born on November 28, 1955, in San Benito, Texas to Maria Flores Salazar and Eliseo G. Salazar.  For many years he was a Cotton Ginner in south and west Texas then moved to Blanco and began his own business, F&S Fencing and Welding, which he owned for over twenty years.  Freddy enjoyed spending time with his family and friends and will be forever missed by all who loved and adored him.

Survivors include his loving wife of forty-four years, San Juana "Janie" Salazar of Blanco; five devoted daughters, Josie Salazar of Fredericksburg, Imelda Faught and her husband J.P. of Leander, Veronica Jones and her husband Justin of Blanco, Belinda Creswell and her husband Jason of Blanco and Erica Ruiz and her husband Miguel Ruiz, Jr. of Blanco; he was a "papa" to fifteen grandchildren, Stormy, Zachery, Shaedyn, Randall, Shelbi, Lexi, Laci, Grant, Coby, Scout, Keeley, Natalie, Carmelo, Santiago and Lovely; brothers, Ovidio Delafuente and his wife Lita of San Benito, Oscar Delafuente of Floresville, Eliseo Salazar, Jr. and his wife Esmeralda of Morton; sisters, Olivia Uballe of Blanco, Olga Delafuente of Blanco and Gloria Delafuente of Pasadena.  He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Omar Delafuente, Sr.

A gathering of friends and family will take place from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Friday, November 16, 2018, at Crofts-Crow Funeral Home in Blanco with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m.   A Chapel Service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, November 17, 2018, at Crofts-Crow Funeral Home in Blanco with burial to follow at Blanco Historic Cemetery.
