Life is a journey and Fielding Kellogg Reiner spent 60 of his 84 years with his forever love Rita Rose Krueger Reiner. Holding hands as they had throughout their married life, Fielding left this earth peacefully on July 30, 2020.
Fielding was born May 31 st , 1936 in Cypress Mill, Texas to Herman and Esther Reiner. He died at home on July 30 th 2020. He lived and ranched all of his life in Cypress Mill, Texas building a home there for his young bride close to the ranch where he grew up. He became Ranch Manager for the Cypress Mill Ranch in 1965 working there for more than 50 years. He often spoke fondly of raising a family and doing the work that he loved, caring for the ranch through several owners. He was a true Texas original.
Fielding was an active member and faithful servant of St. Luke's Episcopal Church having attended since its inception. He touched many lives through his involvement in organizations such as the hospital board, school board, 4H and FFA youth council. He shared many activities with his two sons and grandchildren including steer showing, fishing, hunting as well as a love of golf. Fielding never knew a stranger, always had a joke or a laugh, was generous to a fault and everyone was better for having known him.
Fielding will be deeply missed and is survived by his wife Rita Rose Krueger Reiner, his sons and their wives Stacey and Diane Reiner of Laredo, Texas and Bradley and Jana Reiner of Driftwood, Texas. In addition, he leaves behind four grandchildren Trent Reiner of Midland, Texas; Aubrey Reiner of Austin, Texas; Blaine Reiner of Redmond, Washington; and Kylie Brown of Beeville, Texas; as well as Reiner Ray Brown his only great grandchild. He will also be missed by numerous other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother Jack Reiner, and his sister Lila Gene Hobbs.
A celebration of his life will be planned later in the year. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to St. Luke's Episcopal Church in Cypress Mill, Texas.
