George William "Johnny" Moreland, 78, passed away May 29, 2013 at his home in Horseshoe Bay, TX surrounded by his loving family. He was born September 21, 1934 in Johnson City, TX to Edgar Moreland and Ada Summy Moreland. Johnny was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Helmuth "Babe" Moreland and brother in law, James "Dub" Wells. He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Janice Bays Moreland; two daughters, Pamela Kay Crocker and her husband Shane Chapman and Vanessa White and husband Alfred, Jr.; sister, Sally Wells; two brothers, Edgar "Tobe" Moreland and wife Patty, and Alton Moreland and wife Janie; sister in law, Mary Moreland; three grandchildren, Jason Crocker, Tina Englehart and husband David, and Shane White and wife Anh Tang; great grandchildren, Scarlett, Logan, Brianne, Emily, Austin, and Madison. Johnny is also survived by many nieces, nephews. He was a 32nd Degree Mason, serving as Past Master of Lodge 583 in Euless, TX. He was also a member of the Scottish Rite as well as the Shriners. Johnny was a life-long Baptist and was baptized in Miller Creek.
Visitation will be 5:00 PM to 7:00 Thursday, May 30th at Crofts ? Crow Funeral Home in Johnson City where funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM Friday morning. Interment will follow in Miller Creek Cemetery.
