Gerry Dennis Booher age 84 passed away Wednesday, October 2, 2024 in Johnson City, TX.  Born August 2, 1940 in Wichita Falls, TX to Myrtle Rhea Daniel and Marvin Booher. Gerry graduated from Wichita Falls Senior High School in 1958. In 1963, he married his sweetheart Gail Annette Crider on August 11 at Floral Heights Methodist Church. They were married for 61 years.

Gerry and Gail moved to San Antonio in 1965, and they started Gerry's dream motorcycle business, US Cycles, in 1969 in Universal City. Through the years, Gerry and Gail had a Yamaha motorcycle dealership and then a wholesale parts & accessories company. In 1985, they became a Kawasaki dealer. They enjoyed over 30 years with Kawasaki earning the prestigious Ichiban Gold designations the most times in Kawasaki's history. With Kawasaki Ichiban, they traveled to six continents and made many friends.

Gerry had a life-long love of riding motorcycles and especially flat track racing. He raced many years as 70N and then earned National Number 37. He also sponsored many flat track racers over the years.

Gerry loved the Texas Hill Country and Gail's family ranch in Sandy, TX. In 2001, Gerry & Gail built a home and moved to Sandy. Gerry loved to work on projects improving the ranch. And he also liked raising goats and longhorn cattle.

Gerry is survived by his wife Gail, his only daughter Stacy Ann, her husband Jeffrey Foerster, and granddaughters Emma Ruth and Elissa Ann Foerster. Gerry is preceded in death by his parents Myrtle and Marvin Booher.

The family would like to express their gratitude to the nurses and staff of the LBJ Medical Center and Hospice for their care of Gerry.

A memorial service honoring Gerry's life will be held at 2:00 PM, Monday, October 14, 2024 in the Chapel of Crofts - Crow Funeral Home in Johnson City.
