Glade Burke Seegmiller was born April 18, 1953 in St. George, Utah. After high school, Glade joined the United States Air Force. Seven days after being honorably discharged from active duty, he married the love of his life, Michelle, on September 19, 1975 in the Mesa Arizona Temple. They were subsequently blessed with six sons and, in 2025, they celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary.

Glade had a keen intellect. He was interested in many subjects from physics to politics. He studied computer science at the University of Utah. He spent his professional career as a software engineer designing automated material handling systems for some of the country's largest manufacturing companies and multiple branches of the U.S. military.

Glade also had a big heart. He loved the restored gospel of Jesus Christ and the Savior. He served the Lord for five years as a scoutmaster and also served in many other callings.

His last great adventure was buying a fixer-upper ranch in the Texas hill country. His best days were when he could share a laugh over a meal with his family or be out on his tractor.

Glade passed away peacefully on the morning of May 26, 2026 surrounded by his family.

Glade is survived by his wife and sons, Cory (Stephanie) of Spring City, Utah, Nathan (Audrey) of Hanna, Wyoming, Trenton (Maribel) of San Antonio, Texas, Bradley of Syracuse, Utah, Brett (Valery) of Payson, Utah, Samuel (Sheiyenne) of Blanco, Texas, and 13 1/2 grandchildren. He is also survived by all of his siblings, Jan, Claudia, Michael, Richard, and Kyle. He was preceded in death by his father, George Burke, and mother, LeOra.
