Glenda Hart
Gentry
Nov 10, 1944 — Jan 20, 2023
Blanco
Glenda Ray Hart Gentry was born in Vancouver, Washington on November 10, 1944 to Ora Truman Hart and Omeita Marie Oakley Hart. She went home to be with her heavenly father on January 20, 2023. She was a loving Wife, Mother, Meme, and Great Meme. Her family was her greatest love and joy.
In 1979, she met the love of her life; Warren Mark Gentry Sr. They blended their families. In addition to her children, Cindy and Angela, she gained two more children Mark Jr. and Kim.
Her chosen career was a florist. She owned The Flower Cottage in The Woodlands, TX for many years. She found her best friend Judy Hill after moving to Sweetwater, TX. Upon retiring, Judy encouraged her to try art class. This quickly became her passion and gave her a place to channel her creative spirit.
After her husband's retirement, they moved to Blanco, TX in 2013 to be closer to family. She joined the Tejas Art Club and became an active part of the Blanco art community. It was here that she met Penny Conn and they became great friends. She won several awards in local art competitions and was Artist of the Month in July of 2016. She was very proud that others appreciated her art and sold many pieces of her artwork through the local businesses in Blanco.
She is predeceased by her parents Ora and Omeita (Marie), her son Warren Mark Gentry, Jr., her siblings, Elizabeth Ann Hart, Shirley Hart McCreary, Victor Benton Myers, Patricia (Patty) Myers Shuttlesworth, and her granddaughter Rebecca King.
Glenda is survived by her loving husband of 38 years, Warren Mark Gentry Sr., her children, Cindy Renee King, Angela Marie Sekerka (Steven), Kimberly Dawn Rutherford (Michael), 16 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.
