Gordon Lee Walker , aged 68, passed away peacefully at his home in Blanco on August 6, 2023, surrounded by his beloved wife and family. He was born on February 10, 1955, at the courthouse in Blanco, Texas, to W.A and Lillian (Schmidt) Walker.
Throughout his life, Gordon was a devoted husband, a caring father, and a loyal friend. He shared many beautiful memories with his wife of 49 years, Vickie (Seymour) Walker.
He was preceded in death by his loving mother and his dear brother, Larry Walker, who undoubtedly welcomed him into the embrace of eternity.
Gordon is survived by his father, W.A Walker; sister, Sharon Weaner, and her husband Chuck; brothers, Allen Walker, and his wife Kay, and Gary Walker, and his wife Sandy. Gordon's sons, Timothy Walker, and his wife Terry and Travis Walker, and his wife Shannon.
Gordon was a doting grandfather to his beloved grandchildren, Cami Walker and Maverick Walker. He cherished every moment spent with them. Beyond immediate family, he leaves behind many nieces, nephews, and countless family members and friends.
A lifelong resident of Blanco, Gordon was deeply rooted in his community. He attended school in Blanco, where he formed lasting friendships and shared countless memories. As a successful business owner at Marble Falls Glass and Mirror, he took pride in serving the community.
Gordon lived a fulfilling life and, after years of hard work, retired at the age of 65. He found solace and joy in the great outdoors, spending his time hunting, fishing, and honing his woodworking skills. Whether it was a day spent in nature or a quiet evening at home, his family was always at the center of his heart.
In the hearts of those who knew him, Gordon's memory will forever remain as a source of inspiration and comfort. His kindness, humor, and unwavering love for his family will be treasured and celebrated by all.
A graveside service will be held Saturday, August 19, 2023 at 10:00 AM at the Blanco Historic Cemetery. A Celebration of Life will directly follow at The Buggy Barn Museum. We're asking that all flowers be delivered to the Cemetery.
