It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Guy Eugene "Gene" Adams , who departed from this world on January 9, 2025, in Blanco, Texas. Born on November 2, 1954, in Tempe, Arizona, Gene was a beacon of passion and dedication, cherished by all who knew him.

Raised in the communities of Lubbock and San Saba, Gene graduated from San Saba High School in 1973. His love for the automotive industry led him on a fulfilling journey, beginning with his long tenure at Honda Automotive. Driven by his dream, he ultimately established Adams Automotive in Blanco, Texas, where he joyfully served the community for nearly 20 years.

Beyond his professional accomplishments, Gene was a man of many passions. He found joy in woodworking, hunting, fishing, and perfecting his barbecue skills. An avid football fan, he cherished every moment spent cheering for his favorite teams. Above all, Gene adored spending quality time with his beloved wife and family.

Gene's memory will be lovingly carried on by his devoted wife of 38 years, Trudy Adams. He is also survived by his mother, Vennie Hanson, his three children, Jerad (Melissa) Adams, Steven (Sarah) Adams, and Emily (Stefani) Heather; his three siblings, Rhonda (Frank) Hall, Tanya Saucillo, and Phillip Brown; and a bevy of grandchildren – Hannah, Hope, Hadley, HelenRose, Hilary, Julian, Bradley, and Blake; as well as great-grandchildren, Patrick and Wyatt. Gene was blessed with countless nieces, nephews, and dear friends who will forever hold him close in their hearts.

Gene was preceded in death by his father, Willie Adams, and his stepfather, Jerry Hanson of whom he held in very high regard.

We invite family and friends to join us in celebrating Gene's remarkable life. A memorial service will be held Saturday, March 1, 2025, 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at 12 Fox Brewery, 4700 W Fitzhugh Rd, Dripping Springs, TX 78620.

In lieu of flowers, those wishing to honor Gene's memory may contribute to their local animal shelter or rescue, a cause dear to his heart.
