Obituary

Harold Mercer Holm , 81, of Johnson City passed away on Monday, August 5, 2019 at LBJ Medical Center in Johnson City, TX. Harold was born on December 27, 1937 to Harold August Holm and Trula Rosalee Mercer and grew up on the family farm in Dwight, KS. He married Daphne Mae Sell on April 16, 1958 in Topeka, KS.

He was a member of the International Union of Operating Engineers (IUOE) and ran a backhoe in the building trades. He enjoyed spending time with his family, he liked to bbq and take care of his yard. He really enjoyed visiting with people and had a laugh that was contagious. He was fond of saying "Whatever you do, don't get excited."

Harold is survived by his wife of 61 years, Daphne; his two daughters, Lori Hudson and husband Walter, and Amy Cox and husband Matt; six grandchildren, Joshua, Megan, Cory, Jody, Ty, and Courtney; and eleven great-grandchildren, Madeline, Marti, Anndi, Tori, Ilea, Sawyer, Reagan, Curtis, Carter, Sadie, and Joy.

Special thanks to the wonderful staff at LBJ Medical Center and the EMT's with North Blanco County EMS.

The family will hold a private memorial service at a later date.
