Harold David Yargo , 69, of Johnson City, Texas passed away at his home Friday, September 13, 2019. He was born September 11, 1950 in Houston, Texas to Harold Davis Yargo and Virginia Lee (Petrosky) Yargo.
David proudly served his country with the U.S. Army during the Vietnam era. He was a member of the Johnson City Lions Club and previously worked for the Blanco County Sheriff's Department. David thoroughly enjoyed riding motorcycles. He and friends recently returned from a motorcycle trip to the Sturgis Bike Rally. Any opportunity, David gladly supported the Wounded Warrior Project and all Veteran organizations.
David was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Ronald Wayne Yargo. He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Betty (Berger) Yargo; son, John Schmidt and wife Stephanie; daughter, Brandi Stennis and husband James; sister, Sharey Auderer; and five grandchildren, Faith, Matthew, Ben, Zeke, and Zane; nieces, Kaitlin & Lauren McCormick and Crysti & Dawn Auderer; nephews, Joseph Wayne Berger and Joseph Theodore Yargo; great nieces, Emily, Erin, Ellie, Kayla, Erna, Riley, Aubrey, and Elsa. He is also survived by many dear friends.
A time for honoring David's life will be held from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM, Saturday, October 12, 2019 at First United Methodist Church of Johnson City, 105 LBJ Dr., Johnson City, TX 78636.
