Hilda Mata "Nana" Garcia, 72 of Blanco passed away on Saturday November 8th at her home. Visitation will be on Tuesday November 11th from 3:00 to 6:00 PM with services to follow at 6:00 PM at Crofts ? Crow Funeral Chapel in Blanco, Texas.

Hilda was born April 8, 1942 in Falfurrias, Texas to Saturnino and Sofia (Benavides) Mata. She married Carlos Garcia, Jr. and he preceded her in death in April 2012. Hilda worked in real estate as well as antiques. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and a brother Saturnino Mata, Jr.

Hilda is survived by two sons; Eddie Garcia and wife Diana of Dripping Springs, Carlos Noel Garcia and wife Esmeralda of Belton, two daughters; Debbie Martinez and husband Tony and Angie Sandoval and husband Pete all of Blanco, two brothers; Raymond Mata and wife Ombelina of Premont, Tx and Roel Mata of Kingsville, Tx and a sister; Irma Lopez of Blanco, Tx. She is survived by ten grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews, and other extended family and friends both locally and out of town.
