Ian Patrick
Ray
Sep 1, 1994 — Dec 26, 2017
Blanco
Ian Patrick Ray passed away Tuesday December 26th in Blanco, Texas at 23 years old. Ian is survived by, his father Danny Ray, step mother Dorothy Ray, mother Faith Kaufhold Ray, brother Chris Ray, sister & husband Mackenzie & Chase Howells and soon to be nephew Hudson Howells. Step siblings Kelsi, Caitlin, Candace & Sean. He is also survived by his girlfriend Michaela Flynn, along with many loving Aunts, Uncles, and Cousins. A beautiful blonde hair blue eyed boy was born September 1st, 1994 in San Antonio TX to, Danny Ray and Faith Ray. Ian grew up attending Blanco ISD, where he excelled in any activity that included a ball. "BALL" was actually his first word. He played baseball, from the time he could walk, Football, and Basketball. He loved the outdoors, music, nature walks, getting people gifts, fishing, Texas A&M, watching sports, picking up fossils, camping, EATING, swimming, birds, dogs.....oh the dogs, he would have made his house into an animal rescue if he could. He loved his family so much and through many struggles, he would always find a way to make them feel loved. That boy loved his Mom and Dad more than they will ever know. He was the only kid who never went through the teenage stink phase, of not wanting his momma around. He always wanted to show her off. His dad and him were cut from the same cloth, they both loved A&M and loved watching games together. Any chance they could get to fish they would. Ian wanted to be just like him. They picked on each other constantly and worked together. They loved each other unconditionally and knew exactly what to do to get under the others skin. None the less they both loved their time together. He loved his brother and admired every move he made. Chris and Ian had such an amazing connection and we all know Ian strived to be like him. If Ian ever needed anything Chris would take him under his wing and show him the ropes. Ian and his sister Mackenzie were a lot alike, stubborn as heck and they butted heads; but there was no doubt that at the end of the day they would both do absolutely anything for each other. She also knows and agrees that he would have been "the coolest uncle" as he would say for little baby Hudson. The thing we will all miss the most is Ian's smile and happiness; and the thoughts to know how bright of a future this young Man had. We all love him so much and hold on to the fact that we will get to see him again one day. Michaela Flynn came into Ian's life at a hard time, they pushed each other for the better, in the right directions and even if for a short time...he loved that sweet girl so so much. Ian's smile, laugh and stature will be remembered by so many close friends and family. His friends meant the world to him. The boy had a heart the size of Texas. If you gave him love, he would return it 100 fold.
