Irene Jonas Beierle , 83, passed away Sunday, February 3, 2019 in New Braunfels, TX. Irene was born April 8, 1935 in Blanco, TX to Hugo and Janie (Triesch) Jonas.
Irene was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of nearly 50 years, Clinton "Shorty" Beierle; one brother, Leroy Jonas; and one sister, Melba Wagner.
She is survived by her two loving daughters, Robin Armke and husband Tibby and Reva Laumer and husband Freddy; five grandchildren, Seth Armke and wife Kelly, Garrett Armke, Hailey Meurin and husband Wesley, Brandon Laumer and dear friend Kyndal, and Dalton Laumer; four great grandchildren, Kade & Kasen Armke and Colt & Clint Meurin. Irene is also survived by her siblings, Milton Jonas, Weldon Jonas, Jerome Jonas, Maxie Jonas, and Maxine Calhoun. She will also be missed by many loving relatives and dear friends.
Irene truly loved her family and especially enjoyed her family gatherings. She adored her grandchildren and great-grandchildren; spending time with them and attending every function she could that they participated in. She enjoyed gardening, taking care of her many animals, socializing with church friends, sewing, playing dominoes and bunco, and bowling in her younger years.
Please join the family for visitation at Crofts – Crow Funeral Home in Blanco, 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM Thursday evening, February 7, 2019. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Friday morning, February 8, 2019 at St. Paul Lutheran Church, 29797 US 281, Bulverde, TX 78163. Interment will immediately follow at the family ranch cemetery. Following the burial, a reception will be held in the Christian Faith Center of St. Paul Lutheran Church.
