Irene D. Pancake of Blanco, TX passed away February 6, 2022 at her home with her family by her side.  One of twelve children, Irene was born in Kendalia, TX to George Leslie Dowdy and Dovie (Gourley) Dowdy.  She was preceded in death by her husband Wallace Pancake; nine siblings, Dorothy, Margie, Monroe, Anna Louise, Fay, Ray, Jesse May, Gilbert, and Arlin; also by two children, Cheryl Knoll – Pancake and Darryl Pancake.

Irene is survived by her companion and best friend, Lee Borchers; children, Iris Wright and Terry Cox; siblings, Jerry Dowdy & sister in law Barbara and Kelly Dowdy & sister in law Linda, Sister in Law Alice Dowdy; grandchildren, Beverly, Damon, Liberty, Brande, Tiphani, and Justin;

She is also survived by many great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and other loving relatives and dear friends.

Mrs. Pancake was loved and cherished by her family and friends.  She will be greatly missed.

Visitation will be 9:00 – 11:00 AM Saturday, February 12, 2022 at Crofts – Crow Funeral Home in Blanco, TX.  Graveside services will follow at 11:30 AM at the Historic Blanco Cemetery.

Following the services, everyone is invited to a reception at Irene's residence.
