In loving remembrance, we celebrate the life of James Troy Lindsey, Jr. , who departed this world peacefully at his home in Johnson City, Texas, on Monday, September 15, 2025, surrounded by his cherished family. Born on August 3, 1945, in Winnsboro, Louisiana, Troy was a devoted son of James T. Lindsey, Sr. and Lena Pearl (Wactor) Lindsey.

Raised along the beautiful Gulf Coast, Troy graduated from Pasadena High School before embarking on a journey that would encompass service, family, and a passion for construction. In November 1966, just before being drafted into the U.S. Army, he married the love of his life, Beverly Ann Gilbert. His commitment to his country and his family defined his character, and upon returning, he dedicated himself to a successful career in the construction industry, founding Troy Lindsey Construction Co. He and Beverly made the picturesque Texas Hill Country their home in 1996, settling in Johnson City in 1998, where they cultivated lasting relationships in their community.

Troy's passions extended beyond his professional life; he had an unwavering love for cars, often collaborating with friends to build their own drag racecar. He was also an avid racing fan and enjoyed spending time hunting and fishing in the great outdoors.

Troy was preceded in death by his parents and his brothers, Murl and Eugene Lindsey. However, his legacy continues through his beloved wife of 59 years, Beverly Ann (Gilbert) Lindsey; their sons, Troy D. Lindsey and wife Michelle, and Jason D. Lindsey and wife Nancy; and his cherished grandchildren, Troy Jr., Keely, Diego, Sebastian, and Ava. He is further survived by his siblings, Ronnie Lindsey and wife Cheri, Ricky Lindsey and wife Sandra, and Judy McClelland; sister-in-law Connie Lindsey; along with numerous nieces, nephews, and a wealth of dear friends.

Services to honor and celebrate Troy's life will be announced in due course, bringing together all who knew and loved him.
