Janice Elaine
Faurie
Jul 1, 1964 — Jun 28, 2025
Blanco
Janice Elaine Faurie , 60, went home to her Heavenly Father on Saturday, June 28, 2025, with loving family and friends by her side and in her heart. She was the second of three children born to Leslie Leon Faurie and Wanda June (Bluhm) Faurie. She was born in Austin, Texas, on July 1, 1964. Her early childhood was spent in Texas until her family settled first in Dripping Springs and then ultimately in Blanco where she attended school and graduated from Blanco High School in May 1982. She played the saxophone as a dedicated member of the Blanco High School band and was honored to be selected as Drum Major in her senior year. Music continued to be important throughout her life. She said that music drove her and that the only thing stronger in her life was her faith.
Janice carried on our family tradition as a volunteer with the Blanco EMS. Her caring nature was truly an asset in her role as an Emergency Care Attendant. She was able to easily put her patients at ease and provide the care necessary for transport.
Janice spent most of her working career in office administration in the Central Texas area. She moved to Santa Fe, New Mexico, for a while and fell in love with the desert southwest and all of the culture Santa Fe had to offer. Ultimately she returned to her hometown of Blanco to live near her family and help with caregiving for her Dad in his later years.
Janice has a very large circle of friends and family. She always had a welcoming smile and a great big hug for everyone. She took people under her wing and was always there with a helping hand. She will truly be missed.
Janice is lovingly remembered by her Mom, Wanda Faurie; her sister Joyce Phillips and her husband Doug; her brother James Faurie and his wife Elizabeth; nieces Danielle Wisniewski and her husband Drew, Erin Faurie and Lauren Faurie; great nephews Maverick and Xavier Wisniewski; and her Aunts: Mrs. Mary Bluhm (Dudley) and Mrs. Ruth Faurie (Daniel). As well as many family members and a wide circle of friends who will miss her huge hugs and radiant smile.
She is preceded in death by her Dad, Leslie.
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made in Janice's memory to support her love of her faith, children and animals in need, emergency medical assistance, and the Blanco Band Boosters, all of which were dear to her heart.
