Jean Singletary
Fuller
Aug 25, 1924 — Jul 30, 2026
Goliad
Jean Singletary Fuller , a cherished member of the Goliad community, passed away on Thursday, July 30, 2026, in San Marcos, TX. Born on August 25, 1924, in Cobb County, Georgia, Jean's early life took her to Florida at the age of six, and she later settled in Fort Worth, Texas at the age of fifteen.
Jean's academic pursuits led her to Texas Christian University, where she graduated with honors. Following her graduation, she embarked on a professional career with Humble Oil in Baytown, TX. It was during this time that she met and married Roy Fuller, with whom she raised four sons.
A dedicated educator, Jean spent many years teaching before venturing into entrepreneurship with the establishment of her retail business, "The Pin Cushion." Her commitment to her community was evident through her service, which she continued until the mid-1990s when she sold her business and retired with her husband in Goliad, TX.
In Goliad, Jean and her husband purchased "The Dirt Dauber Ranch," an historic residence built in 1898. With a passion for restoration, she undertook the task of revitalizing the home, nurturing her love for the land as a full-time rancher until her passing.
Jean is survived by her sons Bruce Fuller and James "Jim" Fuller, as well as her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who will carry on her legacy. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Roy Fuller, Sr., her second husband, William Young, and by her sons, Roy Fuller, Jr. and Tom Fuller.
Graveside services for Jean Singletary Fuller will be held at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, August 5, 2026, at the Johnson City Masonic Cemetery, located at 609 Nugent Ave., Johnson City, TX 78636. Family and friends are invited to gather together to honor her legacy and celebrate her life.
