Jerry C. "JB" Bailey of Blanco, 60, died Tuesday, Nov. 15, 2005, in SanAntonio.He and his twin sister, Mary, were born in Tulsa, Oklahoma, June 18,1945. She and another sister, Nancy, preceded him in death.Bailey married Karen Phillips on Dec. 23, 1972. The couple had twochildren, Jason and Andrea. For 20 years, he worked in oil explorationacross the U.S.In 1986, he and his family moved to Blanco County from Denver, Colorado.In 1988, he started a garbage collection company for Blanco County; helater sold the business. In 1996, he and Karen bought the Rio BlancoCafe, which they ran for seven and a half years.Bailey is survived by his wife and two children, Andrea and Jason, all ofBlanco, and one sister, Donna Baumgartner of Katy.Visitation will be Thursday from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. at Crofts Funeral Homein Blanco. Family will be present from 5 to 7 p.m.Funeral services will be Friday at 2 p.m. at Crofts Funeral Home inBlanco. Bro. Rusty Hicks will officiate. Burial will follow at the BlancoCemetery.Karen, Jason and Andrea wish to thank JB's poker buddies and his manyfriends who greatly loved and supported all four of them through thesedifficult last months.
