Jodye Renea (Schaefer) Burnette, 47, of Blanco, Texas passed away on Sunday, June 12, 2016 at her home surrounded by family. Graveside services will be on Thursday, June16, 2016 at 1:00 PM in the McKinney Cemetery in Blanco, Texas.

Jodye was born on February 4, 1969 in Austin, Texas. She was a graduate of Blanco High School, after graduation she attended business school and later joined the United States Army and proudly served for eight years. For the last 15 years she worked as a bus driver for Blanco ISD.

She is survived by her parents; George and Bonnie Schaefer of Blanco, two sons; Kevin Dabbs and Scott Burnette both of Blanco, a brother Quinten Troy Schaefer of Blanco, as well as numerous Aunts, Uncles, Cousins and other extended family and friends.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to a fund set up at in Jodye's name at the Security State Bank and Trust, P.O. Box 840, Blanco, TX 78606 or to a local organization of your choice.
